I think that since all the England squad are paid loadsamony by some of the biggest teams in the world, you have to assume that they can play a bit.  Getting them to play a bit is the job of the coach.&lt;br&gt;

Having said that, I've always thought that if I was the national manager I'd make a list of the 11 best players then cross their names out and select the second best 11 on the grounds that they will be hungrier.&lt;br&gt;
